Prices for industrial raspberries for processing are much higher than a year earlier. Per kilogram of the fruit of 8-9 July, according to the price monitoring of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, paid from 3.50 to 4.61 zł / kg (ex-factory) depending on the region and grade raspberries. This means that the price increase compared to the same period in the previous year amounted to about 40-50 percent. Taking into account the historical price raspberries summer, it is also the highest level since 2008.

The reason for the high prices of fresh fruit in relation to previous years is the situation on the market of processed raspberries, namely: low stocks of frozen food, and therefore their high prices, and expectations about the likely lower than potential harvest raspberries in Serbia.

Less impact on the price situation is the supply of fruit on the domestic market. Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics - National Research estimates (Fruit and vegetable market - state and outlook, June 2013) that the harvest raspberries in Poland in 2013 may be only slightly lower than the record in the previous year and amount to 125 thousand. t (-1.7 per cent. y / y).

As expected, there was a fall in prices and the cherries for processing. According to the Ministry, during the period they were from 2.00 to 2.33 zł / kg (ex-factory) and were about one-quarter lower compared to the previous year. Again, the impact on the price situation in manufacturing is related to the demand and supply-side factors in foreign markets.

On a similar level to the previous year but was bought black currants. Data from the Ministry indicate that 8-9 July prices were 1,47-1,64 zł / kg (second ex-factory price) a year earlier 1,45-1,63 zł / kg (ex-factory). This is probably a result of supply close to the previous year. According to forecasts, IAFE-NRI black currant harvest may reach in 2013 145 thousand. T
