Wasted even half of food production
Even half of the globally produced food is wasted. Such alarming statistics was published by International Institute of Mechanical Engineers, based in London.
The world produces four billion tons of food a year. A large proportion, perhaps as much as two billion tonnes - is not consumed. In rich countries, food is often discarded. Supermarkets do not take vegetables and fruits that are too small or naughty look.

In developing countries, technology is poor harvests and poor transport. Here and there even wasted 80 percent of the rice. The report calls on governments to consumers and the food saver, which could feed the starving part of the ever-growing world population.
