Maize harvesting in Poland has started

Corn for grain harvest in Poland has started. Total sown was 1 100 thousand hectares, of which 600 thousand hectares for the purpose of grain, 50% more than last season, and everything looks that it will be a successful season for the Polish processors. The expected total crop of 3 million tons of grain and this is dream result

Polish growers improve the situation of very large losses that they have sustained of Polish southern neighbors (Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania) and in general a bad situation on the world markets. It is estimated that a minimum price per ton of grain should oscillate within 900 PLN per ton (215 EUR/t).
Also pleased with this situation seem to be Polish frozen processors. The relatively high crop in Poland, compared with other countries, may result in high profitability of this production in Poland.
The biggest competitor in the market for Polish corn was always Hungary. But collections in Hungary are not successful. The initial offer price of 0.72 EUR / kg of frozen corn large Hungarian companies are beginning to retreat. Today there are horizontal price 0,80 EUR / kg EXW and a lot of indications that they may become a reality
