Poland has become the largest producer of raspberries in the world
In 2012, Poland reach 127 thousend tons of raspberries, which means that Poland is the largest producer of this fruits in the world
For many years the production of raspberries in Poland reached 50 thousand tons a leading producer of raspberries was Serbia. However, thanks to researchers and new variety of raspberry Poland succeeded in clearing out the dominant position.
Output growth raspberries in Poland also influenced in force since 2007, the payment for soft fruit of € 400 per hectare from EU subventions.
As much as 90 percent. raspberries harvested in Poland is exported. The Polish foreign markets fruits compete with Serbian and Chilean.
