Scandinavia 2012 January: IQF food raport
Last week I have a pleasure to visit some of companies in Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark and Norway) based on IQF food market mostly IQF fruits and vegetables.
As always clean and stable region with different problem I suppose then other European countries
First of all I would like to share Scandinavia food sector into two parts Norway and, Denmark and Sweden separately
Norwegian has got quite huge taxes for IQF vegetables therefore this product are not so easy to sell there but of course not all vegetables are processed by themselves. What I notice there is demand for cauliflowers and broccoli. Regarding IQF fruits stable demand for all kind of high processed fruits including raspberries, what surprise me due to global bad situation on this item
As far as I notice Norwegian prefer long term contractation with selected within years of cooperation companies. They are supported from all European countries but looks that in IQF fruits supplying the leader position has got Poland Brands like polana and zenga are well recognized by everybody
Denmark and Sweden. A bit different. They are open for purchasing goods from stock looking for the prices and new opportunities Market of course with very high demand regarding requested quality of goods.
Existing price level in Scandinavia:
Raspberries 4x2,5kg 1,45 EUR/kg
