Association of Food Producers by Ecological Methods came into existance from noble idea to produce - not destroying world, to nourish - not harming consumer
Ekoland is organization overseeing food production on base of criterion of ecological agriculture according to international norms.
In Poland, term of ecological agiculture has been promoted in 1896 year by several scientists, co-creating movement in favor of agriculture with nature.
This informal movement has been transformed to organizational structure 1 september 1989 - Association of Food Producers by Ecological Methods - Ekoland, which has headquarters in circle of Toruń - Przysiek. Creation of system was purpose of founder it in farm :
• farming criteria
• control of production in farm
• product certification
Most important tasks of EKOLAND:
• Representing interest of producers and manufacturers of food fabricated by ecological method
• validation of criterion of ecological agriculture and processing industry and trade of ecological products
• farm and processors due to Ekoland association criteria.
• generalization of ecological agriculture and promotion of its products
• activities in favor of environmental protection and health and education
